A national provider of wireless telecommunications services needed to design, develop, and deploy a customized configuration management system for its network.

Elixir Solution

Elixir worked with a project management team to organize client and vendor resources around a project charter and project plan. By focusing on project management fundamentals- planning, mitigating, and controlling- we helped the client to successfully design, develop, and deploy a $22 million dollar system.

Methodology

Elixir took time to understand the perspectives that client stakeholders, the technology vendor, and working participants brought to the project. Then, working with a project management team, we developed and executed a project charter, project plan, and communications plan that addressed their identified needs.

Execution

Elixir managed a process to select a business support vendor, and, with a project team, managed the resulting eleven consultants through requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment planning activities. We managed resources, assigned tasks, and identified and mitigated risks. We interfaced with client stakeholders, system users, and the technology vendor to ensure a common understanding of the project’s status and to address issues of concern.
